1. Who we are
Patrician ("we", "us") is a private relocation desk published at patrician.ch. Patrician is an independent publisher and is not a law firm, a tax adviser, a bank, or a regulated financial intermediary. Contact details are at the end of this page.
2. What we do and do not do
We provide modeling, research, and introductions. The interactive engine on this site produces an indicative ranking of jurisdictions from simplified public rules and the inputs you give it. The paid dossiers set out our analysis of your stated situation and introduce you to licensed professionals. We are not a law firm, tax adviser, immigration consultant, financial adviser, or regulated intermediary in any jurisdiction, and nothing we publish or deliver is legal, tax, immigration, investment, or financial advice. Decisions about residence, citizenship, structuring, and tax must be confirmed with professionals licensed in the relevant jurisdiction before you act.
3. Orders, payment, and delivery
A request submitted through the site is an enquiry, not a purchase. We reply with a written quote, a delivery date, and a payment link. A contract is formed when payment is received. The Dossier is delivered by email within 24 hours of payment. The Architecture is delivered within 10 working days. The Move is a bespoke engagement governed by a separate written agreement. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes you are required to pay in your own jurisdiction.
4. Refunds
If the Dossier does not change how you think about the decision, tell us within 7 days of delivery and we refund the fee in full. The Architecture is refundable in full until counsel review begins and not thereafter. The Move is governed by its own agreement.
5. Your information
Our work is only as good as what you give us. You confirm that the information you submit is accurate and that you are entitled to share it. We do not verify passports, income, or assets and we do not carry out identity checks.
6. Intellectual property and all rights reserved
Everything on this site and in every dossier is ours or licensed to us, and all rights are reserved: the text, the copy, the city ledes and ordinary days, the engine and its weights, the tax and visa models, the editorial indices for cost, safety, schools, sun, beauty, and wealth signals, the data compilation itself, the passport ladder, the globe, the passport artwork, the shield mark, the names PATRICIAN, PATRICIAN.CH, and The Patrician Engine, and the design, layout, and code. Footage and stills are licensed and remain the property of their creators.
You receive a limited, revocable, non exclusive license to view the site in a browser for your own personal, non commercial use, and to use a dossier you have paid for, for your own decision and to share with your own advisers. Nothing else is licensed. Without our prior written consent you may not do any of the following. Copy, reproduce, republish, mirror, frame, translate, adapt, or create derivative works from any part of the site or a dossier. Extract, scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically collect any content or data, by hand or by any automated means. Use the content, the data, or the models to build, train, fine tune, evaluate, or prompt any machine learning or artificial intelligence system. Reverse engineer, decompile, or reconstruct the engine, its weights, or its indices. Resell, sublicense, or use a dossier to provide services to others. Use our names, marks, or design in any way that suggests affiliation or endorsement. Search engines may index public pages for the purpose of search only. Any use beyond this license is a breach of these terms and an infringement of our rights under the Swiss Copyright Act, the Swiss Unfair Competition Act, and the laws of every country where the content is protected, and we will enforce those rights.
7. No warranty, no reliance, liability
The site, the engine, and the dossiers are provided as is and as available. We make no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness, currency, fitness for a particular purpose, or non infringement, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free. Every figure is indicative and may be wrong or out of date on the day you read it. You act on it at your own risk, and you agree that you have not relied on the site or a dossier as a substitute for advice from professionals licensed in the relevant jurisdiction.
We do not guarantee any outcome: no visa, residence permit, citizenship, tax ruling, bank account, school place, property, or result of any kind. The professionals we introduce are independent, are engaged and paid by you directly, and are solely responsible for their own advice and work. No client, adviser, fiduciary, or agency relationship exists between you and us beyond the delivery of the specific dossier you have paid for. You are responsible for your own compliance with the tax, immigration, reporting, sanctions, and other laws that apply to you.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising from or connected with the site, the engine, or any dossier, in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or punitive loss, for lost profit, revenue, opportunity, or data, for decisions you take in reliance on indicative figures, for changes in law or policy, for the acts or omissions of any third party including anyone we introduce you to, or for events outside our reasonable control. Any claim against us must be brought within 12 months of the event giving rise to it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7a. Acceptable use and indemnity
You may not use the site or a dossier for any unlawful purpose, to infringe anyone's rights, to submit false information, to interfere with the site, or in breach of section 6. You agree to indemnify us and hold us harmless against any claim, loss, liability, or cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your breach of these terms, your misuse of the site or a dossier, your reliance on indicative figures contrary to section 7, or any decision you take about residence, citizenship, structuring, or tax.
8. Changes
We may update the site, the models, prices, and these terms at any time. The version published at the time of your order applies to that order.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The courts of Zurich have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of your country of residence. If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the rest remains in force and the provision is applied to the maximum extent the law allows. Our failure to enforce a right is not a waiver of it. These terms, the privacy notice, and the disclaimer are the entire agreement between you and us about the site and the dossiers. You may not assign your rights under them. We may assign ours to a successor of the business. The English text governs.
Privacy notice
What we collect
When you request a dossier or subscribe to the letter we receive what you type: name, email address, income band, the jurisdiction you selected, the desk you chose, and the inputs you set in the engine (income, liquidity event, passports held, household, home base). We use this to reply to you, to prepare the work you asked for, and to send the letter if you subscribed. The engine itself runs entirely in your browser. Sliders and selections are not transmitted unless you submit a form.
Legal basis and retention
We process this information to perform the contract you asked for or to take steps at your request before a contract, and, for the letter, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by replying "unsubscribe". Enquiry data is kept for 24 months after our last contact and dossier files for 7 years for accounting and dispute purposes, after which they are deleted.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of technology providers to run the site and the desk: a hosting and content delivery provider, a database provider in Switzerland, a merchant of record who sells to you in its own name and handles payment and invoicing, an email delivery provider, and providers who serve the fonts and film. Each sees only what it needs for that purpose. Our merchant of record holds your billing details and card data. We never see your card number. All of them act under contract and none of them may use your information for their own purposes.
Your rights
You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to processing, or ask for a copy in a portable format. Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection and the EU and UK GDPR you may also complain to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner or your own supervisory authority. Write to the address at the end of this page.
If you are a California resident, the same rights apply under the CCPA and CPRA: to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information as those laws define it, and we do not discriminate against anyone who exercises these rights. Write to the address in the Contact section.
International transfers
We work from Switzerland, which the European Commission recognizes as providing adequate protection. Our providers may process data in the United States and the EU under their own safeguards.
Cookie notice
This site sets no advertising cookies. It stores one item in your browser's local storage, "patrician-consent", to remember your choice on the notice. If you choose Accept, Google Analytics 4 runs and sets its cookies, "_ga" and "_ga_" followed by the property id, which last up to 2 years and let us count visits, pages, and which parts of the engine are used. Advertising features, Google signals, and ad personalization are switched off, and nothing is shared with Google Ads. If you choose Essentials only, no analytics cookie is set and nothing is sent to Google Analytics. You can change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer, which clears the stored choice and shows the notice again. Our content delivery provider may set a security cookie to tell people from bots. Third-party media and font servers may set their own cookies under their own policies. You can clear all of this in your browser settings.
Disclaimer
All figures on this site are indicative. Tax models use simplified headline brackets for 2026, ignore social contributions, most deductions, wealth taxes, and treaties, treat US citizens as taxed worldwide, and flag special regimes rather than applying them. Visa thresholds, residence programs, and citizenship rules change often and are stated as we understood them at publication. Cost, safety, school, sun, and beauty scores are our editorial estimates. Net millionaire inflow figures are country level and come from the Henley Private Wealth Migration Report 2025, and wealth mobility scores from the 2026 edition. Nothing here is a recommendation to move to, or invest in, any jurisdiction, and no mention of a program, bank, school, agent, lawyer, or place is an endorsement of it. We take no commission or referral fee from any program, bank, or agent. Verify everything with licensed counsel before acting. All content is protected, and all rights are reserved, as set out in section 6 of the terms.
