Where the very wealthy meet.

The private clubs, the dining rooms and the members' enclosures where founders, collectors and old families cross paths, city by city, with how each city ranks on the Patrician.ch 100.

· figures current to October 2026

The very wealthy rarely meet by chance. They meet where entry is earned, bought or inherited: a members' club with a waiting list, a dining room that keeps its best tables for regulars, an enclosure that takes a badge, a fair whose first day is by invitation. Most of these rooms sit in a handful of cities, and most of those cities rank in the upper half of the Patrician.ch 100, which weighs safety above every other category, then freedom and the prestige of the address.

Monaco

Monaco ranks 2nd on the list and first of 100 on luxury and society.

  • Monaco Yacht Show, Port Hercule. The show moored 120 superyachts in 2026, and the next edition runs 22 to 25 September 2027. Owners, builders and the brokers of the largest yachts afloat meet on the pontoons and on the decks.

St. Moritz

St. Moritz ranks 15th.

  • Snow Polo World Cup, on the frozen lake, 22 to 24 January 2027, its 42nd edition. The tents beside the field are where the winter season meets.

Miami

Miami ranks 47th, and Bal Harbour ranks 31st.

  • Art Basel Miami Beach, 4 to 6 December 2026, with 272 exhibitors. The collectors, founders and investors who fly in for the week fill the fair, the hotel bars and the private dinners around it.

London

London ranks 12th.

  • Royal Ascot, 15 to 19 June 2027, the summer meeting of the old families, the royal household and the owners of the bloodstock. The 2026 meeting carried £10.65M in prize money.
  • Wimbledon, where the hospitality suites are as much a meeting place as a view of the court.
  • Frieze London, Regent's Park, each October. The 2026 fair showed 172 galleries.

New York

New York ranks 19th.

  • Casa Cipriani, a private members' club in the Battery Maritime Building, with a house in Milan. Membership is by application, city by city.
  • The Polo Bar, Ralph Lauren's restaurant at 1 East 55th Street, open since January 2015.
  • The Grill, Major Food Group's dining room in the Seagram Building at 99 East 52nd Street, a long-standing room for finance lunches.

Paris and beyond

Paris ranks 17th.

  • Caviar Kaspia, founded in Paris in 1927, now also in New York, Dubai, São Paulo, Istanbul and Bodrum.

California and the English countryside

  • Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, California, on 15 August 2027, after its 75th edition in 2026. Collectors and chief executives meet over the rarest cars in the world.
  • Goodwood Revival, West Sussex, 17 to 19 September 2027. The members' enclosures of the Goodwood Road Racing Club are reached through a waiting list that Goodwood puts at about 5 years, or through a Fellowship at £85 a year that brings 1 badge and a guest.

Where they live the rest of the year

The rooms above are where the very wealthy meet. Where they choose to live is a different question, and the answer on the Patrician.ch 100 for 2026 is led by Zurich, Monaco and Geneva. The full list of 100, with the luxury and society rank of each place, is on the Patrician.ch 100. The year of events behind these rooms is in the social calendar of the very wealthy.
